WHO WE ARE

Our story begins with our CEO and Founder, John Hawkins, and his simple vision of building haunted houses. After finishing his stint in the Air Force, John took his driving passion for event design to Tampa, Florida and in 1997 Oak Island Entertainment and Attractions was born, later to be named Oak Island Creative. Over the last 20 years, the Oak Island Team has worked hand-in-hand with many of the world’s major theme park organizations- creating wowing events and attractions. We have also worked closely with dozens of FEC’s, cultural institutions, zoos and independent-operator entertainment facilities. Today, Oak Island continues to take pride in being a driving force within the experiential entertainment industry through its family of product brands and destinations and client services division- Studio Oak Island.
